A Beyond Open grant was used to acquire two Chrysler Pacifica vans, one standard and one with a wheelchair conversion to increase the transportation capacity of their fleet.  

“The wheelchair conversion is not just an add-on; it's our commitment to inclusivity, ensuring we cater to all members of our community. The wheelchair van allows us to service electric wheelchairs and bariatric patients. The standard van will allow us to service more of the community such as CDC and McCloud Center patients who require a dedicated vehicle.

“My wheelchair van can not only transport two wheelchair patients at the same time, it's also capable of transporting a stretcher patient. This has pushed my trajectory up three years from when I anticipated being able to have stretcher capabilities. And the Beyond Open Grant just took my vision to a whole other level, more than I could ever dream.” - Melessa Lawson
